I have been interested in photography for most of my life. I have worked with both 35 mm film and digital cameras. I like taking photographs using a digital camera because you can see the results of your work instantly. I enjoyed developing film and making prints in a darkroom, but I don’t miss it.
I have no interest in photographing weddings or sporting events. I did photograph one wedding ages ago. I do just about any other type of photography.
I served 8 years in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1970 until 1978. Later in my life I served 12 years in the California Air National Guard. I retired from the military in October 2000 and I moved to Colorado. The reason that I moved to Colorado was to live in a beautiful area that is less poluted, has less traffic, and a lower cost of living than California.
California has great weather, but I prefer to live in Colorado. The one thing that I don’t miss about living in California are the earthquakes.
Believe it or not, you would think that the winters are real bad here, since this is the Mile High city, but they are not. The winter of 2006 was one of the exceptions. I believe it was the winter of 2003 that we received about 3 feet of snow over a couple of day period. That shut everything down here for 3 days. Most winters are pretty mild, and milder than where I grew up in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
I spent a year writing my ebook, putting it in PDF format, doing the photography, and creating the web site. It was a new experience for me. I hope that eveyone that buys my ebook finds it to be enjoyable to read and the information beneficial.
