Inexpensive Atttachable Macro Lens For Compact Camera’s

December 21, 2011

There is a new inexpensive atttachable macro camera lens, which can also be easily detached, now available for compact camera users.

My business partner David invented this lens because as a nature photographer David was unable to take incredible close-up photographs of insects with a camera that he can stick in his shirt pocket while hiking through the woods.

The macro lens is called Little Big Shot™.  It can easily be attached and detached to most compact/point and shoot digital camera’s.   When you are not using the lens to photograph jewelry or other arts and crafts products simply detach it from your compact camera.

You are probably going to be surprised when I tell you that the Little Big Shot™ macro lens sells for $24.99, which includes shipping.

If you are not an artisan you can use this detachable macro lens to photograph  butterflies, watch parts, coins, parts of flowers, small insects, snowflakes and other minuscule objects without having to own an expensive digital single lens reflex (DSLR) camera and a macro lens.

Using the Little Big Shot™ compact camera attachable macro lens will give you:

  • better focus
  • finer details
  • higher magnification

Little Big Shot™ works with all camera makes and nearly all models: Canon Powershot, Sony Cybershot, Kodak Easyshare, Nikon Coolpix, Panasonic Lumix, Fujifilm Finepix, Olympus Stylus, Casio Exilim, and all others.

October 20, 2010

I have recently  started to create photo note cards and selling them on Artfire.com using some of  my best photographs.

The photographs that I am using for my photo note cards where all taken in and around Colorado.  I have a old steam engine train, a metal sculpture of a bicycle rider, a frog fishing, a leaning towering mast, and a Thanksgiving Holiday photo note card (shown in the photograph below) and several other photo note cards that I  sell for $3 to $4 plus shipping.  All of my photo note cards come with white envelopes.

The inside of these photo note cards are blank.

Here is the link to my Artfire studio–  http://www.artfire.com/users/JimJuris

In addition to my photo note cards I also have some matted photograph prints for sale.  These prints where also taken in Colorado.  Please stop by my Artfire studio and have a look around.

I Decided To Start Recommending Cameras and Camera Related Products

July 16, 2010

For the past three years I have steered away from making any type of camera recommendations either on my Inexpensive Jewelry Photography website or here on my blog.   As of today I will be making recommendations for digital cameras.   I do not want to single out any one brand of camera in my recommendations.  I intend to recommend different camera brands and price ranges.

I will be recommending cameras and camera related products that I would buy if I was in the market for a new camera or a camera related item.

Here is my first digital camera recommendation.  I think that this is a great camera.

http://www.inexpensivejewelryphotography.com/Buying_A_Camera.html

You will find the digital camera that I am recommending in the light gray color column on the right hand side of the page.

I am an affiliate for this product and I will receive a commission if you buy this camera through my link.

3 Christmas Light Photographs

December 22, 2009

Monday evening, December 21, 2009 was very and quite warm for the first day of winter in Englewood, Colorado.

It was about 9:30 p.m. when I went outside to take some photographs of the homes that are decorated with Christmas Lights.

I was a little bit disapointed when I saw that the lights on a tree where turned off for the night.  I was able to take some very nich photographs of other homes with Christmas light decorations.

Here are 3 of my photos.

Please feel free to comment on my photographs.  Both good and bad comments are welcome.

Happy Holidays.

A Great Website For Bird Lovers

June 16, 2009

Thanks to Twitter, I found a great website for bird lovers.  The photography is great and the website is very informative.

Here is the URL for the bird website;  http://www.thebirdersreport.com/

Be advised that if you are on dial-up connection like I am,  due to all of the images on the websites home page, the images will take some time to load.  I love birds so I feel that this website is well worth waiting for the home page to load.

Be Creative, Make Your Photographs Unique

March 10, 2009
orange and yellow slinky

orange and yellow slinky

Here is a photograph of a orange and yellow slinky.  Nothing unique or fancy, just your typical slinky image.

I don’t want typical images, I want unique images.  So I figured out how to make my slinky image look unique and that is what you see in my second image of the slinky.

I felt that the best way for me to make a unique photograph of this slinky was to only use a small portion of the original image.

I cropped a small area of my original slinky image and I came up with the image that you see below.

I also  adjusted the contrast and darkened the image somewhat to give my photograph eye appeal.

Now my slinky image looks unique.
